Mr. Bontadelli is experienced in working with private businesses and governmental agencies at all levels on collaborative efforts involving NEPA compliance for a wide range of projects. He is particularly knowledgeable and experienced in the field of the environmental regulatory processes, has successfully addressed CWA Section 404 and 401 permitting, wetland delineations, Streambed Alteration Agreements, endangered species issues (including permitting), Section 7 consultations, and Natural Resource Damage Assessments. Furthermore, he has extensive work with California water rights and water infrastructure projects. Prior to joining AES-Montrose, Mr. Bontadelli served as Director of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. He negotiated the legislative statute that created the Office of Spill Prevention and Response and served seven years as the founding Administrator, establishing initial policies, regulations, and direction.
