» GREENHOUSE GAS VERIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT:
AES-Montrose is accredited by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) as a verification body for the purpose of verifying greenhouse gas emissions reports in accordance with the CARB Mandatory Reporting Program as required under Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) and the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32). The AES-Montrose verification body consists of two CARB certified lead verifiers and a staff of over 30 environmental specialists to assist clients with meeting the verification requirements. AES-Montrose lead verifiers are also accredited to serve the refinery and electricity transaction sectors. On January 1, 2012, CARB approved revisions to Title 17 of the CCR. The revisions align CARBs Mandatory Reporting Program’s requirements with the US Environmental Protection Agency’s GHG Reporting Program. AES-Montrose’s lead verifiers are well-versed with CARB’s revised reporting regulations and are prepared to provide outstanding verification service to our clients.

» GHG OFFSET VERIFICATION:
AES-Montrose has been accredited by CARB to act as an offset verification body (#H2-13-013) for the purpose of verifying offset emissions under California’s Cap-and-Trade Regulations initiated under Assembly Bill 32, the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32). Regulations requires that offset credits be verified by a CARB accredited verification body before they can be used for compliance under the Cap-and-Trade Program. AES-Montrose’s lead offset verifiers have completed CARB training and passed examinations exhibiting competency in ARB’s Compliance Offset Program and Protocols and are prepared to provide outstanding verification service to our clients.
